The Hall of Maps is next to the Botticelli and Leonardo da Vinci rooms. It was established by Francesco I and was one of the first rooms in the Uffizi. It contains two large, meticulously-detailed frescoes of Tuscany painted in the late 1500s and its ceiling consists of several panels depicting mythological scenes and other themes, painted by Zocchi. This room has been closed to the public for decades and will be reopened on October 14th with a private members dinner to follow in Florence, Italy.
