After 49 years the Contini Bonacossi Collection is open to the public in the new rooms at the Uffizi refurbished thanks to the generous support of the Amici degli Uffizi and the Friends of the Uffizi Gallery.
According to curator Francesca the Luca, “the Collection, distributed in eight new rooms – comprises extraordinary and rare works of art completely in tune with the Uffizi patrimony. It also integrates less represented art, such as 15th/16th-century Lombard school, and 17th and 18th-century Spanish school.
